Goals & Objectives

The mission of our Film festival is to provide an advantageous environment for the development of film and other creative works. As a group, we hope to assist in educating our peers and university in the art of film while concurrently exhibiting the creative talents of students and youths. Society is to advance the education of the public in the knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the art of classic & contemporary film of all genres and by so doing enhance the arts and cultural provision of the community. The Society will promote the study and appreciation of film by means of screenings, lectures, discussions, exhibitions and related activities. In addition, our ‘Sylhet Film Festival’ is considered as opening of a new window for independent filmmaking.
